Yuletide 2021 Letter

Hi! Thank you for writing something for me this year!

I like things gen or shippy, and shippy works can run from we’re in a relationship but focusing on plot to tooth rotting fluff made entirely of sugar and rainbows.

I'm a total multi and poly shipper so I'm very open to pairings, threesomes, or moresomes if you're feeling shippy.

Plot is welcome but totally not needed.

Tropes are great played straight or inverted some I like are:
• character interaction
• fix-it fic
• casefic or the equivalent for the fandom
• coffee shops
• crack fic taken seriously or not
• soulmates
• telepathy (accidental or a normal part of the universe)
• sex pollen
• cuddle pollen
• curtain fic
• unusual reactions to pet names
• hurt comfort that’s heavy on the comfort.
• cuddling and snuggling especially with a side of touch starvation
• the soulmate goose (a goose the comes and encourages you to confess to your soulmate by being, well, an invulnerable goose with an interest in true love)
• the Untitled Goose Game Goose being horrible
• they’re all good.

Any rating but if you go E please keep them talking to each other or dealing with the emotional aspect of sex in some other way.

Extra characters from canon or OC’s that help the plot (shop keepers, citizens in need of saving etc.) are fine but not needed. Similarly I know Yuletide uses AND matching but you don't have to include every character in your fic if you get an idea that needs to leave someone out.

Batman: Wayne Family Adventures (Webcomic)
Characters: Any

The Batfamily is Canon and I haven't been this excited about something actually paid for by a major comics company since the first Avengers movie. I love everything about this but some highlights are: Batman types his post-it notes, cookies if you all come back unharmed, and every family interaction they've had so far(Jasonnnnnnnn!!!!). What, that's the whole comic? — ^.^; I tried.

Some possible prompts:
• A collection of other notes Bruce has left for his kids over the years
• How the others try to help Duke feel better after Damian stops guarding his door
• The story where Dick got Damian to switch Batman's smoke bombs for glitter. (Complete with consequences and the villain's response to the glitter.)

Green Eggs and Ham (Cartoon)
Characters: Any

I don't know how the people behind this show managed to find this much depth in a book that used only 50 different words, but the whole thing is genius from beginning to end and I can't wait for season two. Annoyances to friends (to lovers?) is absolutely catnip for me and I love the friendship that builds between these four.

Some possible prompts:
• More Briefcase buddies (Briefcase Boyfriends?) adventures
• Go, Dog. Go! is Eastman not Seuss, but Guy and Sam dealing with a stream of dogs on ever more outlandish modes of transportation would be fun.
• Or just a run in with Oobleck
• Michellee and E.B. trying to figure out which rules are needed to keep E.B. safe and which ones were maybe Michellee letting her anxiety get the better of her.
• Obviously I haven't watched season two yet, but if you do and are inspired by something that happens, please ignore my prompts and run with that!

My Little Pony Generation 5: A New Generation (Cartoon 2021)
Characters: Any

This movie was an excellent start to the new generation of Ponies. It was bright, fun, and told us a ton about the new (old) world G5 is set in. I was annoyed by the fact they felt the need to make Sunny an orphan, and thought the rise of Sprout's totalitarian regime was a bit fast, but otherwise loved the movie and all the new songs. I love everyone's interactions and the fact that Friendship is still (literally) Magic. I'm also intrigued by the three levels of technology/civilization shown in the part of the world we get to see.

I came out of the movie shipping Sunny/Izzy (and thinking there might be something going on between Hitch and Zipp) but I'm a multishipper at heart and if you have a story that needs another ship, plot the course and I'll follow.

Some possible prompts:
• The mane 5 interacting after the movie.
• A day in the life of Izzy, Pipp, or Zipp before thier part of the movie started.
• Maretime Bay and Bridlewood incorporating technology from Zephyr Heights into their day to day.
• How did Zephyr Heights manage skyscrapers and smartphones, and Maretime Bay wind up in a 50/60's esque quaint factory town by the sea vibe, while Bridlewood is in a fantasy elven inspired we're living in trees but still have DDR (btw it's powered by adorable woodland creatures) forest glade?
• How did the other races seen in G4 react to the loss of magic? Did the whole world lose magic or just Equestria? If they lost magic what level of technology are they currently at?

(I swear you don't have to do worldbuilding, but it's what's caught my attention so it's what I keep wondering about so it's what I can think up prompts for.)

Hamster Princess
• Some other fairy tales that could use a visit from Harriet: Beauty and the Beast, Princess and the Pea, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, or your favorite fairy tale.
• If you go with Princess and the Pea, Harriet coming through while she was invincible, or this being her second time at the castle would be hilarious.
• Mumfrey learning to be a Battle Quail because his Princess has decided to be a hero.

Moana
• In classic Disney TV series fashion, ignore the heart wrenching bit at the end where Maui leaves (or have him show up again after less than a month) and have Maui and Moana off on an adventure. The whole wide ocean's out there, what do they run into?
• Maui was on that island alone for a long time. How does he deal with having someone besides his tattoos to talk to?
• Maui has to have a killer case of touch starvation, & or /, trying to sneakily get Moana to cuddle (well sneaky for Maui anyway). Maybe shapechanging into things he thinks she'd cuddle?

Sky High
• I have to admit Layla/Warren/Will is one of my favorite OT3s and I will read Will and Layla trying to make Warren lighten up or Warren and Layla trying to get Will to think before he acts a thousand and one times and still hope for more.
• Warren attempting to get either or both of the others out of a bad mood while not admitting there’s anything wrong with spending 2/3 of his time in one himself.
• The Soulmate Goose, the Untitled Goose Game Goose, or any other annoying, sometimes violent, and strangely invulnerable animal shows up at Sky High. Who tries to stop them? Who stands around laughing as it beats them? Who tries to keep them as a pet?
• Any pairing within the trio with the third as a friend is fine but I please no cheating.

The Prince Problem - Vivian Vande Velde

This is a rather adorable book which takes fairy tale standards and twists them in new and interesting ways. Telmund's genre savvy reactions don't help him as much as he'd like. Amelia's frustration with having to deal with things she had ignored as not important feels very real. And I found myself worrying about both of them throughout the book despite trusting the Author to give me a happy ending.

Possible prompts
* Amelia and Telmund getting to know each other after the end of the story.
* Wilmar's feelings and actions after Telmund goes into the river.
* Constance's feelings while Amelia has disappeared.
* The fairy that lives in the garden: Was she really as blase as she said? or was she trying to help - without having to deal with people any more than necessary?
* Worldbuilding! What would have happened if the fairy who's territory the fairy in the garden sent Telmund into had found him and Amelia?

Mairelon the Magician - Patricia Wrede

Honestly, anything as long as Kim and/or Hunch are exasperated with Mairelon.

Possible Prompts:
* Pre book Richard and Hunch traveling around in their duel roles of showmen and spies, in England or on the Continent.
* During book Richard or Hunch's POV. Either about events that Kim is present for or just everything going on that she doesn't/can't know about.
* Post book Transitioning back into normal life/the new normal. (Either between Mairelon the Magician and Magician's Ward, completely ignoring that Magician's Ward exists, or after both.)

Dragon's Bait

Possible Prompts:
* Alys wanting to send an angry message with flowers and Selendrlie helping her out, and then pointing out that there's no way the person she's angry at will understand the bouquet.

Dragon’s Bait

Rosemary and Thyme
• A gardening project without a mystery. They feel like something’s off the whole time.
• Someone who wants their garden to spell out something in the language of flowers and Rosemary and Laura have to figure out a way to convince them that those plants don’t go together at all.

Valdemar
• I like Alberich’s dry sense of humor, Tarma and Kethry’s friendship/sisterhood, Altra’s insistence that Karal not be serious all the time, and Ulrich and Solaris’ faith and trust in the Sunlord even through everything they saw during the reign of the False Son.
• I like all of these characters. I don’t ship any of them together but none of the potential parings are noTPs except for Karal/Ulrich and anything at all sexual involving Tarma, I take the sexless as her blade thing seriously.
• Companions, unnominated Firecats, and Kyree are all encouraged. I know I’m adding characters not proper prompts but what Valdemar story is complete without mindspeech?
• Day to day slice of life?

Sky High

• Any of them playing Pokémon Go, Jurassic World Alive, any other game that that would distract them on missions.
