2024 Purimgifts Letter

Dear Creator,

Thank you for graphicing and writing and/or podficing for me!

I'm requesting the fandoms Alice In Wonderland - Lewis Carroll, Band Sinister - K. J. Charles, A Brother's Price - Wen Spencer, Hamster Princess Series - Ursula Vernon, Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, We Are A Picturesque Small Town And We Refuse To Be The Setting For Your RomCom - Rachel McKenny, Nimona (Webcomic), Phineas and Ferb, Young Justice (Comics), Disney Princesses, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023), Rise of the Guardians (2012), Star Wars Original Trilogy, The Muppet Show, Batman: Wayne Family Adventures (Webcomic), and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

My favorite Female, Jewish, or Persecuted by an Evil Vizier character from each of those is Alice, David Martelo , Princess Rennsellaer, Harriet Hamsterbone, Elizabeth Bennet (or Georgiana Darcy if you want a slightly less obvious option), Kira Nerys, this isn't really a fandom with characters but I'd love either a Jewish Holiday based RomCom or someone suffering under the "Evil Viizers" in charge of stopping RomComs from happening inside the town boarders, Nimona, Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, Cissie King-Jones (Cassie Sandsmark if you're offering from the 2019 run not the original one), That's too hard to decide so use yours (feel free to include those who aren't in the "official princess lineup"), Doric, Baby Tooth, Leia Organa, Miss Piggy, Stephanie Brown, and Zelda. But if you had someone else in mind when offering fandoms you should totally write them instead!

Hi! Thank you for writing something for me this year!

I like things gen or shippy, and shippy works can run from we’re in a relationship but focusing on plot to tooth rotting fluff made entirely of sugar and rainbows. I'm a total multi and poly shipper so I'm very open to pairings, threesomes, or moresomes if you're feeling shippy. Plot is welcome but totally not needed.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Characters: Any

This game is the cutest thing and my bat army is going to save Hyrule. I love that Zelda has a game and that it's not just a Link game staring Zelda. I love how everything is a puzzle and that most of them have multiple answers. And I love how Tri and her friends have been around since the begining of time but she still hardly understands anything that any of the sentient species on the planet are doing because they were focused on other things.

Some possible prompts:
• What does Tri think of the smoothies and the side quests?
• Zelda and Tri learning about each other during their travels.
• Where do you think Echoes of Wisdom falls in the Zelda timeline? Does Zelda think it's weird that she's the one who has to adventure in this game?
• What Link's up to in the Still Lands during the game.
• Ganon is seemingly just a dark echo. But what if he wasn't? What if there was a third person able to move freely through the Still Lands? Who got trapped like Link, but even earlier? And if he is, why isn't he in the tales that have been passed down which only mention a priestess and a hero? (Or is he mentioned in this version of Hyrule's history?)

Darkwing Duck (Cartoon 1991)
Characters: Drake Mallard (Darkwing Duck), Gosalyn Mallard (Darkwing Duck), Launchpad McQuack (Darkwing Duck)

Who didn't love the tale of actually broke but still fully geared Batman and his heterosexual life partner who has never met a plane he couldn't crash? His attempts to remain (not)grim and (not)dark even as his life filled up with people he cared about and who cared about him is excellent and I love their family dynamic (yes, including Honker).

Some possible prompts:
• Darkwing and Launchpad on a mission while also trying to help Gosalyn.
• Drake Mallard having to do anything normal and suburban for the first time. While Gosalyn and Launchpad "help."
• The teenaged (or adult but lets face it Darkwing wouldn't be able to keep them in that long) adventures of Quiverwing Quack and Arrow Kid. (With a more grownup name everyone refuses to call him.)

Batman: Wayne Family Adventures (Webcomic)
Characters: Any

So this season has been A. Lot. and everyone needs a hug. I'd love anything fluffy at all. I know that they've been talking things out more than you'd get in any other bat book, but this season has still been hard.

Some possible prompts:
• A day at the beach or park.
• What would have happened if Damian did bring Batcow to Tim's apartment.
• What bits of normality did they manage to keep while Joker was out? We know that Tim at least was still going to work during the day.

2024 Paris Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies
Characters: Paris 2024 Olympics Flag Knight, Paris 2024 Olympics "Phantom" Torchbearer, Paris 2024 Olympics Flag Knight's Horse, Paris 2024 Olympics Golden Voyager (Or any combination of those four)

The opening and closing ceremonies were awesome. The combination of pre-filmed pieces and live stunts were great and I love the story that the Flag Knight and the Phantom survived all the way to the next resurrection of the Olympics.

Some possible prompts:
• Flag Knight and Phantom as a couple welcoming Golden Voyager into their relationship.
• Flag Knight surviving but her mechanical horse eventually failing so that she has to train a live horse instead. (Or is that the same horse? Is it only mechanical when she's riding on water?)
• The Golden Voyager re-discovered the Olympics, but that doesn't mean there were no sports in the future. What sport does he think is most important to introduce to the new Olympics? Or is the Olympics all art this time with just a nod to sport in the form of one race that no one watches?

If you're doing art I like interesting colors and textures and am a sucker for strange medium choices or those questionable brushes at the bottom of every art program. Also pixel art. I grew up when all digital art was made of squares and it shows.

If you're doing poetry I appreciate rhythm and interesting rhymes and am not at all a stickler about everything having to be perfect when being slightly off perfect helps convey the meaning. And I'm a sucker for poetry with too many rules. Also bredliks, I don't know what it is about them that gets me, but they're hilarious.

If you're doing typography I like serif fonts better than sanserif ones most of the time.

If you're making a cross stitch pattern, I work in 14 and 16 count aida and like the textural changes you can get with half stitches and back stitching/mixing in black work. I don't love popcorning colors, but I understand that it's necessary for some pieces.

If you're doing knitting or crochet patterns I've been doing both for decades, what ever you can come up with I can do or find a tutorial on YouTube to teach me. I love lacework and filet crochet. I can do color work in both intarsia and fair isle but have a preference for intarsia in knitting. I work most often in worsted/size 4 yarns but am happy to be challenged by something smaller.

I love map keys and all the information you can pack into them. Also annotations and the inclusion of things that are important to the person who drew or owned the map even though no one else would include them.

I like how the AOS characters changed both because of the time shenanigans that started the universe on a different path and because of the difference in society and technology between the 1960s and the 2010s. And also how Bones is the same damn curmudgeon in both.

Every person on this show is a mess but most of them are trying to help, they're just all really bad at it until the season finale. But I love when they come together and try to solve problems instead of making them worse. (Feel free to also include the making things worse.)

This show is brilliant and I love the focus on what should be the B plots of other Star Trek shows and characters we'd see for five minutes a season normally. It's great seeing how everyone really loves being in Starfleet but that comes out in so many different ways.

The Batfamily is Canon and I haven't been this excited about something actually paid for by a major comics company since the first Avengers movie. I love everything about this but some highlights are: Batman types his post-it notes, cookies if you all come back unharmed, and every family interaction they've had so far. What, that's the whole comic? — ^.^; I tried.

I hadn't thought of this series in years but when I saw it in the tagset I had to request it. Dee's relentless but genuine and kindhearted pursuit of Ryo was ridiculous in the best ways and I'd love anything you care to write for these two.

There's a castle at the top of a skyscraper and it has strange shapes flying from it all the time and this is somehow not the heart of every news cycle in New York City! If you're going the worldbuilding route please address all teh stuff that the rest of the world has been ignoring for at least a thousand years. Otherwise I ship Goliath/Eliza, Fox/Xanatos, and Lex & Alex as ?Best babysitter and chaos child who;s grown up with magic and a dozen people doting on him.

• Semi-reformed Xanatos scheming for...good, yeah this is definitely a plan that will help people done in the shadiest way possible because that's just how his mind works.
• Avalon while the Magus and the others were raising the Avalon Clan.
• Got a favorite story or place that was missed during Eliza and Goliath's Avalon adventure? Add it to the itinerary! Or have the trio take a trip to Avalon and get lost on the way back too.

Darkwing Duck (Cartoon 1991)

Who didn't love the tale of actually broke but still fully geared Batman and his ~~hetero~~sexual life partner who has never met a plane he couldn't crash? His attempts to remain (not)grim and (not)dark even as his life filled up with people he cared about and who cared about him is excellent and I love their family dynamic (yes, including Honker).

Some possible prompts:
• Darkwing and Launchpad on a mission while also trying to help Gosalyn and Honker with a school assignment.
• Drake Mallard having to do anything normal and suburban for the first time.
• The teenaged (or adult but lets face it Darkwing wouldn't be able to keep them in that long) adventures of Quiverwing Quack and Arrow Kid. (With a more grownup name everyone refuses to call him.)

Tales of the Five Hundred Kingdoms - Mercedes Lackey
The world building on this series is simultaneously insane and makes so much sense and I love it. The Tradition's combination of 5 year old who knows exactly how this story is supposed to go, and will throw a fit if you try to tell it in any other way, and a sailor who knows the dirty versions of all the songs has always cracked me up and anything that explores that will thrill me.

Some possible prompts:
• Your favorite fairy tale and what parts The Tradition sees as most important when forcing people to fit into it's mold.
• A character trying to work around their story to get the outcome they want (and maybe becoming a Fairy Godmother in the process).
• Straight up out of universe meta of how the heck this works.

My Little Pony Generation 5: A New Generation (Cartoon 2021)

This movie was an excellent start to the new generation of Ponies. It was bright, fun, and told us a ton about the new (old) world G5 is set in. I was annoyed by the fact they felt the need to make Sunny an orphan, and thought the rise of Sprout's totalitarian regime was a bit fast, but otherwise loved the movie and all the new songs. I love everyone's interactions and the fact that Friendship is still (literally) Magic. I'm also intrigued by the three levels of technology/civilization shown in the part of the world we get to see.

I came out of the movie shipping Sunny/Izzy (and thinking there might be something going on between Hitch and Zipp) but I'm a multishipper at heart and if you have a story that needs another ship, plot the course and I'll follow.

• Mumfrey learning to be a Battle Quail because his Princess has decided to be a hero.

Moana
• In classic Disney TV series fashion, ignore the heart wrenching bit at the end where Maui leaves (or have him show up again after less than a month) and have Maui and Moana off on an adventure. The whole wide ocean's out there, what do they run into?
• Maui was on that island alone for a long time. How does he deal with having someone besides his tattoos to talk to?
• Maui has to have a killer case of touch starvation, & or /, trying to sneakily get Moana to cuddle (well sneaky for Maui anyway). Maybe shapechanging into things he thinks she'd cuddle?

Sky High
• I have to admit Layla/Warren/Will is one of my favorite OT3s and I will read Will and Layla trying to make Warren lighten up or Warren and Layla trying to get Will to think before he acts a thousand and one times and still hope for more.
• Warren attempting to get either or both of the others out of a bad mood while not admitting there’s anything wrong with spending 2/3 of his time in one himself.
• The Soulmate Goose, the Untitled Goose Game Goose, or any other annoying, sometimes violent, and strangely invulnerable animal shows up at Sky High. Who tries to stop them? Who stands around laughing as it beats them? Who tries to keep them as a pet?
• Any pairing within the trio with the third as a friend is fine but I please no cheating.

2019 Yuletide Letter

Hi! Thank you for writing something for me this year!

I like things gen or shippy, and shippy works can run from we’re in a relationship but focusing on plot to tooth rotting fluff made entirely of sugar and rainbows.

I'm a total multi and poly shipper so pretty much every pairing, threesome, or moresome in hte tagset is good if you're feeling shippy. Sorry I can't narrow it down more.

Plot is welcome but totally not needed.

Tropes are great played straight or inverted

• casefic or the equivalent for the fandom

• telepathy (accidental or a normal part of the universe)

Any rating but if you go E please keep them talking to each other or dealing with the emotional aspect of sex in some other way.

Extra characters from canon or OC’s that help the plot (shop keepers, citizens in need of saving etc.) are fine but not needed. Similarly I know Yuletide uses AND matching but you don't have to include every character in your fic if you get an idea that needs to leave someone out.

• You don’t have to go the holiday route just because it’s Yuletide but if you do maybe something about how none of them have really had a “normal Christmas”?
• The Soulmate Goose, the Untitled Goose Game Goose, or any other annoying, sometimes violent, and strangely invulnerable animal shows up in the Justice Cave (or on a mission). Who tries to stop them? Who stands around laughing as it beats them? Who tries to keep them as a pet?
• Any of them playing Pokémon Go, Jurassic World Alive, any other game that that would distract them on missions.

Rosemary and Thyme
• A gardening project without a mystery. They feel like something’s off the whole time.
• Someone who wants their garden to spell out something in the language of flowers and Rosemary and Laura have to figure out a way to convince them that those plants don’t go together at all.
